Spent time in my youth in banking in UK then moved to NZ in 1974 then studied as Chartered Accountant and Chartered Secretary. Secretary of a listed company in NZ at age 30, then moved across into General Management. Started own business exporting seafood in 1984, bought a couple of factories and 60 acres of oyster farms.Retired at age 45, spent a few years in the company of young ladies then got involved in my own immigration consultancy,specialising in people from Thailand and other Asian countries who want to go to NZ. Got my pilots licence 6 years ago and also got my commercial helicopter pilot licence then as well.Now live in Bangkok and Remuera in Auckland.My present partner is a 27 year old Thai girl (everything they say is true!), see us on facebook.

After 10 years working in our family Nursing Home business, I opted for a complete change, so became a Rescue Boat Driver between Dublin and Liverpool.
After an amazing spell at that, I now find myself in the more sedate surroundings of a Solicitors office in Liverpool auditing their systems and files.
Married in September 09, but yet to add to the Ashcroft clan.

I entered St Marys in '59. My memories are mostly of the laughs I had with a great bunch of mates. I left St. Mary's in '64 clutching 4 O levels.
In late '65 I joined the Merchant Navy as a professional musician. Self taught, I aquired A levels whilst at sea. I went to Leicester University in '67 and I left in '72 with a B.A. in Psychology & an M.Phil in Management Science.
I joined IBM in '72. I began in Sales and retired as Director of Business Plans.
In order to establish my own company I retired from IBM in '84 and I joined the Faculty of the European Business Management School of the University of Wales as a lecturer
Concurrently I set up my own international management development practice, Educato Ltd. I resigned from University in '93 to focus exclusively on the development of Educato through my role as M.D.
Since '84 I've been personally involved in executive development in more than 50 countries across 6 continents.
I am married to Carol and we live in Devon. We have 5 children, 4 daughters and and a son and 6 grandchildren, 5 granddaughters and a grandson. To misquote Dylan Thomas "I live a life sardined with women"

After leaving Universty I went to Madrid to see if the Spanish I had learned under Don Harry actually worked. I got a job as an English teacher to pay the bills. Forty years - and numerous countries - later, I'm stll an English teacher. I work now in Nottingham University, where I have been since 2001.

After graduating from John Moore's University in Liverpool, Jim worked within his own extremely successful family-run business for a number of years, growing from a small turnover to £25m per annum. He then successfully managed the sale of the business in 2001.
Since then he has carried out assignments with a number of FTSE 100 companies and SME's. He has developed excellent sales skills, having been a former Sales Director within a national education group, National Key Account Manager for one of the UK's leading recruitment construction companies and leading multi sales and account management teams for large corporate companies.
Jim also displays a talent for tendering and procurement processes, a skill he developed when Head of Supply Chain Management and Project Leader for a number of major international construction companies.

1972 Royal Navy, Hydrographic Service, acieved promotions to Chief Petty Officer then commissioned as Officer
1976 Offshore surveying in the Oil/gas industry, eventually as Lay Supervisor
Currently Survey Operations Manager with Offshore Construction/Pipelay company based in Houston, Texas.

Studied Man Sci at UMIST 76-79 and then worked in London as a trainee Economist for 18 months ( Ernie Room would never believe that one!).
Came North at the end of 1980 and set up an Artiste Agency and Management Company in Southport.Lived life to the full for the next decade and had a ball, working with Bands and Artists around the UK. Was at Live Aid 85 and worked with 'New Faces' in the late 1980's. Signed a couple of record deals, supplied The Rovers Return with its only ever live act!
Still had strong local connections with Crosby and district, rehearsal rooms and studio nearby and worked with Siobhan Maher (The River City People) from Crosby.
Then.........divorce.
I have been working in the Holiday Park Industry since 1992 and I am now based in North Wales. Very varied and enjoyable, but how I miss those heady days of the 1980s.
Married, again, with 3 children- one of each!
