SCHOOLGIRL Clare Miller has proved she can heat the bun,, when it comes to technical subjects.
Clare is head girl at the once boys-only St Marys College, in Crosby.
The I 6-year-old, from Tuebrook, Liverpool, is one of 40 girl sixth-formers at the 600-pupil school.
Now Clare, who is studying science A levels, has won a place on a top engineering course.
She will spend a week at Sheffield University, taking part in the insight '87 course run by the Engineering Industry Training Board.
