Mastermind in authentic vein
Thursday afternoon at St. Mary's College was a little different to the usual timetable - and everything was geared to raise money to send handicapped children to Lourdes.
Pupils decided to hold a sponsored Mastermind guiz, and staff and boys joined in to make the afternoon as authentic as possible - even down to the black chair!
Questions were compiled by teachers Philip Stewart and John O'Neill, and 20 boys from forms one to three took part in the contest.
"1 was very impressed with the sheer professionalism of the whole thing," said Mr. Stewart. "The behaviour of the boys was really good." More than £200 has beer, collected already and the money is still rolling in! It costs about £360 to send one child to France.
The money will be donated to the Handicapped Children's Pilgrimage Trust.
Pictured above are some of the contestants in the quiz. with quizmaster Mr. John "Magnus" O'Neill.
